Sony Ericsson Vivaz U5 Passed Through FCC

The new Smartphone based on Symbian S60 5th edition from Sony Ericsson – Vivaz aka SE Kurara U5 passed through FCC’s test yesterday. The new device is approved to work on the UMTS II and V bands and as it is on 1900 MHz and 850 MHz AT&T or Rogers may be taking the handset to their 3G networks.

This second smartphone from Sony Ericsson based on Symbian OS after Satio, may be available to buy through Sony style shops if it is not coming to AT&T.

The features of the Vivaz U5 includes, a 3.2-inch display with display resolution of 360 X 640, 8GB memory card, 720 MHz processor, 3.5mm head phone jack, 8 mega pixel auto focus camera with LED flash, 720p HD video recording, Wi-Fi, HSPA, GPS, accelerometer, Facebook, Twitter, Google Maps etc.

There are no words on when it is hitting the market and what price tag is being offered by Sony Ericsson. Have to wait for an official announcement.
